The YGM2 and the YGM3 Gong Strikers, the middle and larger size are pictured above.
The YGM1 is pictured below.
These gorgeous orchestral gong mallets are created and made by the Yamaha Music Corporation.
Odd isn't it, that there is a Yamaha Music Corporation, AND a Suzuki method of Music Instruction, and yet both are synonymous with Motorcycles, which can be very unpleasant to one's ears.
The shaft of this mallet is made with solid, strong hardwood, and the yarn wrapped heads are tight and perfected for your large gong playing use.

We do like the Yamaha mallet. It is certainly at the same level as the Mike Balter and Vic Firth Gong Mallets, but it costs less than the Firths.
Measurements:
YGM1 - 17 inches long TOTAL
Angled Head is 4 inches long, and 3 inches wide. YGM2 - 17 inches long TOTAL
Angled Head is 4 inches long, and 4 inches wide.
YGM3 - 17 inches long TOTAL
Square head is 5 inches long, and 4 inches wide.
The Malletheads recommend the YGM1 for gongs 26 inches and smaller. The YGM2 for gongs 26 to 32 inches in size, and the YGM3 for gongs larger than that.
