In fact, look at this picture below: It is of Andy Zildjian, whose father named the company Sabian after he and his two siblings Sally, Andy and Billy.  The Zildjian line of cymbals began somewhere in the 1600's somewhere in Turkey and then came to North America in the early 20th Century, and did very well, but somewhere in the late 20th Century, family inheritance (primogeniture) and differing styles of siblings caused a business rift, which then created Sabian in the early 1980s. So either way, you are getting high quality percussion. The larger Chinese gongs are now made in China, not North America, but they are approved by these companies before shipping.
