This fine decorative dinner gong is hand carved in India! The Wood is a strong hard rosewood. Yes, it comes with the mallet and small mallet holder!  Sure, who doesn't know about BODHISATTVAS? They seek enlightenment so they can help all other sentient beings attain enlightenment. We admire and thank them for their meritorious meditative work. We may believe ourselves to be one, or aspire to be one. (Depends on one's ego attachment to the concept, we suppose.) Steely Dan even wrote a song about them. But how often do we celebrate their helpers? You know, the folks who clean the Bodhisattvas' robes, wash their bowls, or even the difficult folks that get in the enlightening ones' faces and make them practice in the flesh, the philosophies they hold in their mind? Without them, no Bodhisattvas! That's why we call them the ROADIE-SATTVAS! Just like rock stars need roadies to keep the show on the road, Bodhisattvas need Roadie-sattvas. We don't know if the Roadie-sattva gets positive karma points for helping, but we guess this is so. Unless they get stuck on some concepts of their own self-worth - positive or negative from working with the BodhiSattva. There is always ego lurking in the strangest of places.  The two upstretched arms of the gong stand, supporting the gong, are symbolic, we have decided, of the helpers of the shining spirit, which is the gong. The arms are the roadies, and the gong is the bodhi. SATTVA, DUDE! Measurements:
