Yes, this price is for a pair of mallets, dos, deux, two, for rolling on your mid to large Paiste Gongs. Please Note: These are NOT Paiste Brand Gong Mallets. They are mallets we designed to work with Paiste Gongs. The Handle is thinner than regular Paiste M series mallets, and made of Hickory Wood. The Head, similar to Paiste Mallets, has a covering of synthetic brown lambswool. This is sheared lovingly off the synthetic lambs that we nurture in a free range Montessori environment. Designed to the specs of John Pitale, Paiste Percussion lover, drummer provocateur, and sonic experimenter, the Pitale 2 Malletsare our second improved version of rollers for the percussionist who wants to roll and build a tone on many Paiste Gongs. The problem in doing this up until these mallets were created obvious: 1) most yarn wrapped mallets are not really good on Paiste Gongs, too heavy. 2) Most gong mallets tend to be rather large in the shaft and uncomfortable for quick swells and controlled sounds.  That is why John Pitale came to us, Gongs Unlimited and queried and cajoled until we found a way with Cindy Abts of Abts Mallets - see her yarn wrapped mallets in our gong mallet section - to create something for his needs, and your needs too.
