Made by a percussionist, who is also an artist, who is also a composer, who is also a metal smith.

Made in Iceland, no less. Land of Fire and Ice. A country so musical they say all the natives talk the way Bjork sings.

Please realize we only hit this one of a kind gong with a simple cloth mallet. And recorded it with a silly Radio Shack Microphone onto our computer. We can't do it justice that way. But you get a sense of it, don't you.

Deaf people have had cochleal surgery just so they could fully appreciate the Hubback gongs.

You of course will want to experiment with this instrument, testing out all sorts of mallets and styles.

Measurements: The gong is anywhere from 16 to 18 1/2 inches long.
Width is anywhere from 11 to 18 1/2 inches.
I have not weighed it.
