Buying a gong for your business? Engrave it with your Logo! Buying a gong to kiss-up to your Zen Master? Engrave it with the answers to their favorite koans! Or buying a gong to wake up your bedmate for some nookie? Engrave it with a picture of your genitalia! Whatever the reason, sometimes it's nice to engrave a gong. But let's be clear, the service takes a LITTLE EXTRA TIME. Most of the year it takes an extra week. At certain parts of the year our engravers are so busy, it can take 10 to 14 days. NO RUSH ORDERS for engraving! Sorry. But it's not that expensive!
Engraving Basics: Any regular English letters or numbers we can do without much from you. We have many fonts available. If you want Asian ideograms or kanji, OR you want your business logo engraved, we need them in a file format called "eps"... your graphics dept or computer pals can help you with this. (JPEGS just don't cut it. Though we can do Adobe Illustrator sometimes, we hear.) We ALSO can take certain images and prepare them for engraving into an eps file, but it costs a little more. Gong Engraving fees:Engraving fees are broken down into two parts:The first is for the engraving, that is usually between 40 and 45. The second is for the repolishing and our pick-up and delivery. That is another 20 dollars usually. On very large gongs, or with artwork that we need to redo, the fees can go up a little. Generally the cost is somewhere between 50 and 70 dollars. How we charge for your gong and the engraving:We do it usually with two charges.One for the gong and shipping, and then a second one once we know the engraving and repolishing cost. We totally keep you in the loop the whole way. Engraving can't be done on every gong we sell. But MOST of our gongs can be engraved, if you want.
