We would go gong hunting, the Old School way- low-tech, no GPS, no Google Maps Street View, no Robot Ninjas... We would just send a cadre, a platoon, a vertitable posse of Thai Gong Hunters out, Whoosh! on aging mopeds and rattan bikes Whoosh! on the back seats of buses and fly swatting oxen to hunt down the large and magnificent gongs that hang from the rafters of tiny out of the way places that Gongs like to hang out. Places with names that translated in English mean, "Don't go pretending you are not CIA with those sunglasses, dude!" and "We put the Lime in the Coconut way before you!" And the gong hunters would take pictures. They would listen to the gongs. And they would let us know what they found!
